La Jolla Chandelier
Hand Crafted Greene and Greene Chandelier
The La Jolla Chandelier was born from a close collaboration between myself and the client it was originally created for — a process I find brings out some of my most distinctive work. The tapered corners and art glass dividers were designed to echo the graceful, tapering columns characteristic of Arts and Crafts architecture, while staying true to the refined vocabulary of Greene & Greene.
Handcrafted from hand-selected mahogany with genuine ebony accent details and intricate decorative cutouts, every element reflects the same meticulous attention to craft that Charles and Henry Greene brought to their celebrated California estates. The iridescent stained glass panels are handmade using the copper foil method, with warm amber and green tones drawn from the original lighting of the Gamble House in Pasadena.
The result is a fixture that casts a warm, layered light — equally at home above a dining table in a Craftsman bungalow or as a centerpiece in a contemporary space that honors the Arts and Crafts tradition. Custom sizing and glass color options are available upon request..
