Greene & Greene Blacker House Chandelier
The Blacker House Chandelier is a faithful reproduction of the original Greene & Greene fixture from the Robert R. Blacker House in Pasadena, California — widely considered the most ambitious and complete expression of Charles and Henry Greene's architectural vision, completed in 1907. Designed holistically from the structure down to every light fixture, door pull, and rug, the Blacker House represents the pinnacle of the American Arts and Crafts movement, and this chandelier carries that legacy directly.
The frame is handcrafted from hand-selected mahogany with genuine Gaboon ebony inlays, assembled using traditional mortise and tenon joinery and suspended from traditional leather straps — all hallmarks of the Greene brothers' meticulous approach to craft and natural materials.
The stained glass panels are handmade using the copper foil method, faithfully reproducing the original Greene & Greene pattern from the Blacker House interior. They cast a warm, layered light that fills a room with the quiet richness that defines Arts and Crafts living at its finest.
Available in two sizes to suit your space, this piece is made entirely to order. Custom glass colors available upon request.
