Oakland Chandelier

Pratt House Chandelier

The Oakland chandelier is a faithful reproduction of an original Greene & Greene lighting design from the Charles M. Pratt House in Ojai, California, completed in 1908 — one of the final and most refined works of architects Charles and Henry Greene, and a masterpiece of the American Arts and Crafts movement.

The frame is handcrafted from hand-selected African mahogany with genuine Gaboon ebony inlays, assembled using traditional mortise and tenon joinery and suspended from traditional leather straps — in faithful keeping with the materials and methods of the original.

The stained glass panels are handmade using the copper foil method, featuring a warm amber background through which an abstract vine motif wraps gracefully around the fixture — touches of green glass woven through the design like leaves catching the light. The effect is organic and warm, casting a gentle, layered glow that suits a dining room or living space beautifully.

Made entirely to order. Custom glass colors available upon request.
